ARCADIS AYH Appointed to Project Manage £50 Million of new commercial developments in the West Midlands

ARCADIS AYH Birmingham has been appointed by PxP West Midlands, a brand new partnership that consists of regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands, Langtree and Bank of Scotland Corporate, as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor for over £50 million of new commercial developments.  This innovative public/private sector partnership will develop, regenerate and invest in a diverse portfolio of properties and sites throughout the West Midlands.

The partnership will use ARCADIS AYH's expert technical knowledge and local market experience to achieve continuing commercial success throughout the region and accelerate the completion of development projects on selected sites within the Agency's £160million property portfolio, including speeding up the delivery of strategic brownfield sites.

Mark Stapleton, Sector Director at AYH comments: "We have a unique position in the market in Birmingham, not only are we one of the UK's fastest growing QS and PM providers, we are the largest project management and quantity surveying offices in Birmingham.  Being well positioned at the heart of Birmingham's commercial activity and development whilst having a national reach, we can draw on considerable experience to drive the success of PxP.  This project will also see us play a part in significantly contributing to the ongoing regeneration of the West Midlands region."

PxP has taken over the responsibility for the development of eight of Advantage West Midlands' major development projects, including the 20-acre Bromsgrove Technology Park.  The other development sites are a mixture of inner city regeneration projects and edge-of-town high quality business park opportunities totalling over 130 acres.  The partnership will also manage Advantage West Midlands' portfolio of investment properties consisting of more than 600,000 sq ft of mixed-use accommodation for businesses.
