New Look's final store in a 31-venue rollout has now opened in time for Christmas trading, completing a ten month long project managed by property and construction consultants ARCADIS AYH plc.

The success of the 350,000 sq ft project has been in part due to the ARCADIS AYH project team acting as a one-stop shop for design, building services, cost and project management, thereby driving the cost out of retail construction projects.

Brian Young, who has headed the ARCADIS AYH plc retail team during the course of the project, explains how the ARCADIS AYH's amalgamation of sectors during the course of the project has led to its success:
"By coordinating our team structure we have been able to create a 'one stop shop' for our clients New Look. To complete a rollout of 31 stores across the UK in just ten months has been a challenge and we feel it testament to both our strong relationship with New Look and  contractor team continuity that we have delivered this project successfully."

The project has been an extra growth spurt for fashion retailer New Look and is additional to their planned expansion.  New Look currently has 540 stores in the UK & Ireland and plans to more than double its store space to 5m sq ft over the next decade as it capitalises on the growing demand from consumers for affordable fashion and the successful launch of its mens-wear range.  Brian Young further comments: 'The great speed at which New Look is growing and evolving as a retailer has made the project an exciting arena in which to exercise ARCADIS AYH's innovative principles.'

Among the new locations in this rollout project managed by ARCADIS AYH are Coventry, Chester, Stirling, and Hereford. 

ARCADIS AYH has also continued with appointments under their Framework Agreement throughout the year including high profile projects such as The Arndale Centre in Manchester which has opened in time for Christmas trading.  ARCADIS AYH has also worked closely with their Alliance Partners in Ireland to deliver projects throughout Ireland in 2006.
